How do I know if I need to replace siding on my house?
Siding has a lifespan. When the siding is old or has reached the end of its lifespan it has likely deteriorated. You will notice signs of wear and tear such as rot, bubbling, chipping and peeling. You might notice that it has faded, cracked or warped. Weathered siding could also lead to internal problems such as leakage or mold inside the home and in some cases to the overall structure of the house, when you are spending too much time and money maintaining your current siding, it might be time to consider your options.
Why does Ideal Siding® prefer James Hardie® over the other fiber cement siding products?

How is Hardie siding finished? Does it come primed?
Hardie siding is primed with a 100 percent acrylic primer at the factory. ColorPlus pre-finishing is said to last three to four times longer than on-site paint. Hardie siding comes pre-primed or finished in any of 23 standard colors, including dark, neutral, warm, cool, light and fresh palettes.
Will I be able to match the product years later for remodeling or repairs?
You should have no trouble matching the color, texture or profile of your James Hardie® product.
