Vinyl and cedar are quick to remove, while stucco or stone may take longer. If you’re installing siding on a new wall, this step is not needed.
We then inspect the sheathing for any damage—such as rot or mold—that may require repairs before we proceed. Any necessary repairs will be estimated and communicated beforehand. While most homes don’t require any sheathing repairs, we’ll make sure everything is in top shape before moving forward.
Next, we prepare the wall by adding a rainscreen (optional but highly recommended), along with building paper, flashings, and strapping/mesh.
